Mill Surveillance
Mill Surveillance ensures that the equipment manufacturer clearly understands the purchasing clients requirements before manufacturing begins, to understand their importance, and to be rigorous when applying them.
Our Technical Support Group will review the Manufacturers Quality Plan to go through the Process Control Points in order to identify witness, monitoring, and documentation review points for all stages of the manufacturing process.
A typical surveillance work scope (drill pipe is shown here) would be as follows:
- Review final manufacturers Quality/Production Plan and finalise level of expediting and Surveillance during the order.
- Attend the Vendor Coordination Meetings and review the Quality Plan.
- Expedite order against quality plan and issue weekly report back to client.
- Perform general surveillance (percentage basis) for quality control during manufacture
- Electromagnetic or UT Inspection of Tube Bodies
- Mechanical Testing Tensile, Charpy, Hardness on Tube, Tool Joint and Friction Weld
- Threading Operations
- Magnetic Particle of Threads
- Witness Hardband Set Up and percentage of application
- Witness internal plastic coating set up and percentage of order
- Connection Threads (V, D) Visual and Dimensional to ensure compliance
- Review of Final Data package to ensure compliance with the Procurement Specification
- Issue release note
