Renewal of Certificates of Approval
The renewal assessment process reviews the performance of the certificate holder and their product, process, design or manufactured equipment over the valid approval period.
Field use and feedback from end users is analysed in order to establish that there are no issues with regards to performance as set out in the original certificate.
Changes to designs, processes and manufacturing processes are checked against the original approval and variances are investigated where deemed necessary.
Where required additional assessments are carried out and raised issues investigated.
Re-approvals for initial certificates are carried out after one year. Subsequent approvals are normally for two years unless issues have not been resolved satisfactorily.
